The question
Dear TeenHealthFX,
Correction: My parents haven’t cleaned our baking pans for years. Now they decided to put one of them in the dishwasher with all the other dishes. Without looking I drink from a cup that I got from the dishwasher. I look down and I see that my cup has literal oven gunk in it. Should I be worried?

The answer
TeenHealthFX understands your concerns. Since you only drank a small amount, it is usually not a cause of concern. [Medical news explains that if you drank a small amount of moldy, gunk water the spores will be killed by your stomach acid. This means you should not experience any side effects. If you find yourself feeling sick, get bad stomach pains, nausea, or diarrhea, let a parent/guardian know and be checked out for a doctor.
