The question

Dear TeenHealthFX,

I've had traces of Leukocyte esterase in my urine the last time I went to the doctor, which was September of 2020, and my vagina has smelled and apparently tasted weird (according to my boyfriend) ever since, is there a reason it's like this? And what can I do to fix it?

Signed: TeenHealthFX

The answer

Unfortunately, TeenHealthFX cannot diagnose over the internet. We strongly recommend seeing the doctor who diagnosed you with Leukocyte Esterase to let them know what is going on. They will be able to diagnose and provide any treatment that may be necessary. If you need help finding a doctor and live in northern New Jersey, you can call the  [Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health at 973-971-5199 for an appointment with an adolescent medicine specialist.
