The question

Dear TeenHealthFX,

Is there a way to find a doctor who doesn't require me to wear a mask during my visit?

Signed: TeenHealthFX

The answer

TeenHealthFX does not have a clear-cut answer. The [CDC recommends masks be worn by anyone who is unvaccinated indoors as well as masks for even those vaccinated in patient care settings (which means a doctor’s office, hospital, etc).  The mask mandates are in place to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

In addition, this answer also depends on where you live. Different states have different mandates and regulations in place. We recommend looking up your states COVID-19 restrictions and reaching out to a parent or trusted adult about your concerns. We hope this helps!
