According to [WebMD, it is safe to take amoxicillin while you are on birth control. In the past, it was recommended that a person use a backup birth control method because scientists were unsure if the antibiotics interfered with the birth control pill. The most up to date information suggested that only rifampin, a drug that is used to treat Tuberculosis is the only that requires a back up method. We strongly suggest that you let the doctor prescribing the amoxicillin know that you are on birth control and if there are other things you need to know.
